BUNDLE BOTH The Underworld of Paris books

$35.00

The bundle offer is in *limited quantity and includes both the illustrated and original 1921 reprint.

The illustrated novel is an adaptation of a chapter from a little known book, The Underworld of Paris, by Harry J. Greenwall, 1921. This project has been a baby of mine for over a year now, and I am very excited to show it to you all! Worry not, Greenwall was a far better writer than me, and a breath of fresh air for the time it was written: no superfluous words, written for the “Every-Man”, almost Jack London esque. It reads more contemporary than that of a book over 100 years old.

Adaptation by Kevin Murray,Illustrations by Eugene Zebrowski Jr.

52 pages 6”x9”, 200 copies total.

The original book is reprinted in full, from the 1921 publishing, and covers a broad range of French criminality of the time. Have a look at the photos for a peek at the table of contents.

188 pages, 5.5”x8.5”, 100 copies total.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Harry J. Greenwall was an author and journalist, born Henry James Greenwall of Highbury, London in 1886. As a youth, Harry went to school in Hanover and Paris, where he later became a reporter on Northcliffe's Continental Daily Mail, a large regional newspaper publisher in the UK and central Europe. When the First World War broke out, Greenwall made Paris his base as a foreign correspondent for the Daily Express. He had a short stint at the end of World War II as a correspondent for the Times of Lisbon and would continue on as an author through the 1950s. In February of 1966 Harry Greenwall passed away on the Spanish island of Majorca.
